LINCOLN, Neb. (KMTV) – During the fourth quarter of Nebraska’s win former Navy SEAL Damian Jackson got in the game for two series.
Jackson, the 26-year old redshirt freshman, walked on to Nebraska last season following four years in the military.
He never played football before joining the Huskers program.
“Damian is a guy who’s obviously never played football before he came here and he’s continued to get smarter and smarter and learn more about the game so that’s a great opportunity for him going forward,” said senior captain Mick Stoltenberg.
