The Creighton baseball team captured both the Big East regular season, and tournament titles to earn their eleventh NCAA regional bid. The Jays (38-11) will enter the Corvallis, Oregon regional as a number two seed and face third seed Michigan (41-18) Friday at 3pm CT. The host team and 16th overall seed Oregon State Beavers (36-18-1) will play #4 seed Cincinnati Bearcats (30-29) at 9pm CT.
The Bluejays are perhaps playing their best baseball having won thirteen of their last fourteen games. The last regional appearance for CU came in 2012 when the Jays reached the regional before falling to UCLA.
