This week, we’ll take a quick look at each of the teams that will be making the trip to Omaha for the 2019 NCAA College World Series.

FLORIDA STATE

Conference: ACC

2019 record: 41-21 (17-13 ACC, 3rd ACC Atlantic)

Regional: defeated Florida Atlantic, Georgia (x2)

Super: defeated LSU 6-4, 5-4

Team leaders:

P CJ Van Eyk (10-3, 3.80 ERA, 120 K’s, .227 BAA)

P Drew Parrish (8-5, 5.11 ERA, 116 K’s, .249 BAA)

P JC Flowers (1.40 ERA, 12 SV, 23 K’s, .185 BAA)

3B Drew Mendoza (.319 AVG, 16 HR, 56 RBI)

Notes: The Noles make their 23rd trip to the College World Series, the 17th under all-time NCAA wins leader Mike Martin, who is set to retire following the season. Despite having the highest winning percentage of all-time (.726 as of 2018), 95 All-Americans, and 60-plus major leaguers, the Noles are still in search of their first NCAA title. They’ve finished runner-up three times, most recently in 1999. Only Texas (36), and Miami FL (25) have more appearances in Omaha.
