Backup offensive tackle Christian Gaylord will likely miss the remainder of the 2019 season due to a knee injury.
Nebraska coach Scott Frost spoke after the second scrimmage of fall camp and shared the news on the first major injury for the Huskers.
“He’s been our only potential season-ending guy,” Frost said. “You never want that to happen. I feel for Christian.”
Gaylord, a fifth-year player, had appeared in 33 games during his Husker career, mainly playing special teams. Gaylord worked out as offensive tackle in the spring and fall and would provide depth on both the right and left side.
