According to sources, Tampa Bay QBG Jameis Winston is likely to leave the Buccaneers in free agency this offseason, which would end his five-year run as Tampa Bay’s quarterback.
Winston is coming off the year leading the NFL with 5,109 passing yards and threw 33 touchdowns, and topped the league with 30 interceptions — making him the first player in NFL history to tally 30 touchdowns and 30 picks in the same season.
The 26-year-old has recently been dealing with a torn meniscus and a thumb injury, and he also underwent LASIK surgery earlier this offseason. The Buccaneers have remained coy on Winston’s status for 2020, but the general belief is that Winston will be leaving the team.
The Bucs went 7-9 in 2019 and have not made the playoffs since the 2007-08 season.
