Fall means football and great beer

Fall means football and great beer

Ah yes, fall is here. You might have already had a few gatherings around the fire pit with a hoodie and some laughs. Perhaps even some football, in the Big Ten? Soon enough. What I love about fall about as much as the football and cooler temps is the seasonal beer. This is also why I’m appreciative to have a Hy-Vee five blocks from my house. I’ve mentioned several times that Hy-Vee’s craft beer selection is the best around. Better yet, the local breweries have amazing representation in the stores.

So let’s talk fall beers. You’ve got your Octoberfest, Pumpkin, Hard Cider, Sours, Amber Ale, Stouts and Porters, and Big IPAs. I can tell you that most of these you will find a more than adequate variety at Hy-Vee. It’s all about what your flavor profile is. Even better, the customer service at the Hy-Vee’s Wine & Spirits department is knowledgeable on all of this. They can direct you to the beer you’re looking for. I appreciate knowing about new product and what each brewer is up to for the new season each year. There is always something new and worth trying. The Local breweries do a great job of providing a fall lineup. You’ll find a lot of these at Hy-Vee. I will leave you with some of my fall favorites both local and national. So enjoy the season. Enjoy the moments with friends and family around the fire. Enjoy the football, and most of all enjoy a cold fall brew. Cheers!
