Let’s be real. We all love breakfast food, right? If you don’t, I’ve got nothing for ya. My wife and I will occasionally pull the breakfast for dinner move or better known as “brinner.” It was about four years ago I discovered how awesome Hy-Vee’s breakfast is. We were going to do our normal Sunday grocery run for the week and we were hungry but also couldn’t decide on what we should have for breakfast. My wife suggested we try something from Hy-Vee. We basically thought since we’re already going there let’s just do that. Best idea ever! First off, Hy-Vee’s pancakes are the best in town. That’s no joke at all. They are perfect. They also have just about everything a breakfast foodie would enjoy which includes some grab-n-go breakfast burritos that I have a hard time resisting when I walk by the area.

I get it, we all have our spots and we are passionate about them and why we continue to go there. If you are wanting a good breakfast menu and very VERY good food (I’ve tried most everything) then you will really like your neighborhood Hy-Vee’s Hickory House breakfast option. You can dine-in at what feels like a nice cozy environment or get carry-out and enjoy hot and fresh at your home. And have you tried their breakfast pizza? THE best! Here are some my favorite options:

Chorizo Breakfast Burrito w/ Hashbrowns

The Hy-Five: 2 eggs, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, hashbrowns, one pancake

Country Sampler:  2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, and a buttermilk buscuit with sausage gravy

Breakfast pizza: Thin crust, cheese base, hashbrowns, country sausage, scrambled eggs, mixed peppers, mozzarella cheese
