After a day of watching college football and still stewing over Nebraska’s loss to Oklahoma, my wife and our friends decided to have a firepit night with a little fun addition. BEER TASTING! But not just any beer tasting, it was time to bring on the Oktoberfest beers. The nights are getting cooler and fall is right there on the doorstep so lets enjoy some fall brew. We each provided a six-pack for the group to share, on top of some others that were already in stock at the Handley household. We made a Hy-Vee run and got our selection. Once everyone arrived we had more than enough selections to try out. The roster included Zipline, Infusion, Lucky Bucket, Shiner, Mill Stream, Kros Strain, Odell, and Brickway. Everyone ranked their five favorites and after we compiled the date this was the composite top-five list:

1- Shiner- Oktoberfest

2- Odell- Oktoberfest

3- Lucky Bucket- Big Pimpkin (purchased at the Lucky Bucket tasting room)

4- Zipline- Festbier

5- Infusion- Pumpkin Vanilla Bean

FWIW, my top-five list:

4- Kros Strain- Bernstein Bier

5- Brickway- Oktoberfest
