We all know gas prices have skyrocketed. Most of you know that Hy-Vee can ease the sting with many great fuel saver deals throughout the week. As we enter Independence Day weekend, Thursday is a great day to stock up on your favorite beer and spirits because for every can or bottle of beer you purchase you get 1 cent off of gas. Buy a 6-pack, earn 6¢, buy a 12-pack, earn 12¢, buy a case of beer, earn 24¢. If you have plans on loading up for the various get-togethers with friends and family this weekend you need to swing by your neighborhood Hy-Vee and watch the savings on gas pile up.

Support Local Craft Brewers

• We have some tremendous craft brewers in the state of Nebraska. The good news is you can find some great summer seasonal beers from them all. The better news is you can find most of them at Hy-Vee.

Watermelon Sangria

• A blend of white wine, vodka, lime juice, and sugar. Add some chunks of watermelon

Red White and Blue Layered Cocktail

• Lemonade and vodka (white layer), curacao (blue layer) red grenadine (red layer). The trick is to pour the liquid with the highest sugar content first, that being the grenadine.

Aviation Cocktail 

• A mix of gin, maraschino liqueur, creme de violette, and a bit of lemon juice.
